About Me

My photo
My Name is Travis Evans. I have been married since 2007 to my wife, Kira Evans. We have a Three girls, Kenzie Lou, Jacee Pink, and Emmy Jeanne. My wife has been doing the blog thing for a few years now, you can follow her comments @ travisandkiraevans.blogspot.com. Her blog covers our family and things we have done. Me, I'm going to cover what I call TKDesign. TKDesign is an idea which stands for creativity, execution, purpose, and family. Family with the "TK." TK gets its roots from a high school love story. A simple representation of two teenagers love, T+K. In our later years we dropped the "+" and now "TK" represents us, our family, and our values. Design, as the English dictionary defines it; to create, fashion, execute or construct according to plan, to have a purpose, to devise for a specific function or end, to make a drawing. We can sum up the definition with these three words; Creativity, Execution, and Purpose. You put these four things together; Family, Creativity, Execution, and Purpose and you have the idea of TKDesign. So you'll get my thoughts on sports, cars, designs, and my family. So if that Interests you feel free to read on!

Wiring it up...

So I've started to wire up the garage... The plan is to have 6 dedicated circuits just for our Christmas lights. All I can say is we should have enough power to keep expanding, especially since I baught new LED lights for the roofline. I'm way excited for the potential we have now. But I've only got the wires ran for those. I still need to run the wire for the rest of the garage and the line from the main box. I tried to wire up the deck lights, one worked and one did not. I somehow grounded the main line so it trips. Got to rerun that wire. We have one working spot light in the back now. And finally, I'm getting around to some of those finishing touches. The house is starting starting to come together, very awesome!

The 6 plugs for Christmas lights, each one has its own 20amp breaker!

Lots or wires...

Some say I'll have more power for christmas lights than some use to power their house...

Spot light ready for some late night corn hole!

The delivery man will be able to find our house soon enough!

Antelope by moonlight 2014

We had a blast at the antelope by moon light bike ride. 24.4 miles and 2 hrs 24 minutes ariving home at 3am, I love me some family traditions.

Spent way too much time building these costumes but hey, I won a bike after all!

Mockups and Welding

Well after we had the motor in and out 3 time I think we got it. The first and second times it was because of a wrong flywheel. The 3rd time was because the motor mounts were wrong. So my dad mocked up some modifications and went to his buddy Neil's shop. After some new motor mounts the motor is in and hopefully for a while.

New and old flywheels and torque converter.

One of the first time we put her in...

Modified motor mounts!

Looking pretty and all mounted up!

The next project would be getting the pulleys, fan, and radiator mounted. We had to order some new pulleys as the stock ones wounded fit. I'll just say my dad and I love Summit Racing. They have almost everything we need and we get it two days after we order it. We had to rework some custom radiator brackets. Because I like mig welding better than gas/stick welding I used it as an excuse and baught a new 110 suitcase welder.

New custom radiator brackets!

Radiator brackets in place.

Now that he radiator is in place we can start to work in the alternator bracket and get the pulleys hooked up. Really enjoying the time with my dad!
